Overview

Our Storage engineers are at the top of their game. They’re wizard Storage engineers and experts in a variety of Storage gear, but despite their technical prowess they’re driven to gain more knowledge and skills. Responsibilities

  • Provide L2 level support to large and mixed storage environments
  • Display your multi-tasking expertise and patience to troubleshoot critical issues under pressure
  • Service provisioning requests for new storage.
  • Service provisioning requests for removing decommissioned storage
  • Work with vendor for BreakFix.
  • SAN attach/detach new storage arrays/switches/hosts.
  • Apply firmware/do maintenance tasks on storage/switch/HBAs.
  • Analyze performance bottlenecks, suggest and implement improvements and work arounds.
  • Produce capacity planning reports and be able to forecast storage growth.
  • Implement/Monitor and support any DR function(s).
  • Spot opportunities for automation
  • Examine your clients' metrics to improve SLAs, QoS, MTTRs 
  • Participate in storage related projects to improve the infrastructure

Qualifications

  • 4+ years storage admin experience
  • Expertise with at least 2-3 of the following storage vendors' products: EMC VMAX/ VNX/ DMX/CX/NS, HP 3PAR/XP/EVA, IBM XIV/v900/CG8/SVC, NetApp V7/V8
  • In depth knowledge of at least one of the following Fibre switch vendor products/software: Brocade, Cisco
  • Experience with replication technologies like SRDF/TimeFinder, EMC Recoverpoint
  • Experience with management software like Ionix Control Center, HP Storage essentials, UniSphere.
  • Knowledge and Experience with multipathing software on the host(s) including ESX/ESXi, Linux and Windows

  • Nagios, Perl or PHP, VMware, Vblock, AWS, backup technologies
