No engineer wants to tighten the same bolt over and over again. Engineers thrive on solving complex problems and putting their talents to use, and that’s where our CSI team comes in. The mandate of the CSI department is simple: automate, automate, and automate. Our CSI engineers hunt for opportunities to replace manual, repetitive processes with automation. Implementing these automations allows our skilled engineers to focus on creative work. So they don’t have to tighten that bolt, yet again.


  • Code, develop, test, and deploy automations.
  • Work through client requests and implement creative automation solutions via innovative coding and programming practices
  • Leverage internal and client SMEs to gather details and requirements in order to implement or enhance automation.
  • Repair impacted automations to ensure higher levels of autonomic success
  • Help build global consistency by developing against internal software standards
  • Drive higher levels of autonomic resolution and diagnostics through continual refinement of automation.
  • Follow function and processes to drive automations to production implementation
  • Provide guidance to cross functional departments to gain alignment and to drive design solutions.
  • Participate in the pre-sales process to understand customer business and technical objectives and product requirements, in order to develop effective solutions.
  • Review data to determine operational impacts and needed actions; elevate issues, trends, areas for improvement and opportunities to management.
  • Develop reports and deliverables for management
  • Model data using MS Excel, Access, SQL, and/or other data ware house analytical tools


  • Strong background in a systems admin role (Windows/Unix/Database/Storage/Backup) along with script supported automation – a good 50/50 mix
  • Demonstrable knowledge of scripting in at least 1 scripting language. (PowerShell, Bash, Perl, JavaScript, etc.)
  • Previous experience as a Lead Engineer at Fortune 500 client responsible for driving standardization, efficiency and automation across technology platforms.
  • Position requires creativity and start-up mentality to deliver superior results. 
  • Demonstrated ability to work with infrastructure engineers and management to create requirements, develop automation solutions and report on improvement gains.
  • An understanding of ITIL (MSP) operations and systems administration
  • Experience in Unix, Windows, TCP/IP, DNS, Apache, basic network troubleshooting
  • Moderately strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work within a team and continually provide results.
  • If it had to be done more than once, you have already automated it


Rockstar Qualifications: (Not Required, Nice To Have)


  • Nagios, MySQL, Java, Perl (or PHP), application servers (Tomcat, JBoss, Weblogic, Websphere, ATG, Resin)
  • Strong experience with regular expressions, API’s, JavaScript, Python, JSON, SQL and scripting.
