We're currently looking to hire a full-time Control-M engineer with financial background, especially on capital markets with focus on bond markets.

 

Responsibilities

What You Will Be Doing:

  • Serve as technical lead and mentor to key teams, providing technical guidance and skills as required.
  • Resolve escalations received through ticketing system, emails, and/or phone calls in a timely manner. 
  • Control-M administration such as: job scheduling, workload automation and reports, creating workflows, installation/upgrade of managed client servers, patching, code promotion and signing with entrust certificates, regular maintenance
  • Handling incidents for critical applications and Control-M jobs.
  • Build and debug batch automation in a production environment
  • Reduce or eliminate repetitive tasks through the development of monitoring, automation, and training of support staff.
  • Participates in creating and developing standards, best practices, support guidelines and procedures 
  • Provide back-up support to team members as needed.

Qualifications

What You Need for this Position:

  • 5+ years of experience working with Control-M on UNIX or Windows platforms (particularly with Control-M Version 9)
  • Must Have - Linux/Unix/Windows experience
  • Must Have – SQL and scripting language experience such as: bash shell, Perl, python, PowerShell
  • Experience working with SOAP and REST applications.
  • Capable of handling high availability configurations and setup of node groups.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, changing environment
  • Must be flexible to work weekends & evenings and shift schedules as pertains to on call rotations
  • Proven track record of technical leadership roles delivering solutions within defined timeframes
  • Knowledge on any of the following is a plus: C, C++,VC++, .NET, VBA, VB scripts, Java, Hibernate.
  • Experience on any of the following is a plus: PeopleSoft, Hyperion, Salesforce, Cognos, Pentaho, Web Methods, Pega,Informatica, Datastage, Flex, Filenet
  • A Passion for problem solving, Self-motivated and self-directed

 

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, Engineering, or equivalent
