Overview

The AV Systems Engineer will be supporting all aspects and efforts of audio, video installations and control systems in our corporate headquarters and events.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for establishing show requirements, including lighting, sound, stage, and audio/visual systems. 
  • Ability to understand and decipher the integration between multiple vendors using open and proprietary software (i.e. Medialon, Crestron, etc.)
  • Responsible for the setup and updates of operational show control of interactive elements as well as daily operations.
  • Knowledge of how to record, edit, and format audio, video, and live presentation content for use on multiple displays, formats and systems.
  • Assist in the design layouts of audio and video equipment, and perform upgrades and maintenance.
  • Qualified candidates may also cover areas of responsibility outside of the project related duties.
  • Working with vendors, production companies, and supporting live events.
  • Assist with daily technology operations and standard troubleshooting for users.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years experience in the engineering of audio/video/control systems.
  • Programming experience in either traditional programming languages (VB, C#, C++) or entertainment venue control systems (AMX, Crestron, Medialon, Alcorn McBride).
  • Knowledge of computer networks as it pertains to AV systems and their specific requirements.
  • Ability to read, create, and edit A/V/C technical specifications and system drawings.
  • Proficient in Windows based PC environment, including MS Office. 
  • Familiarity of current products and trends in the AV industry. 
  • Able to configure technically complex Automation Systems.
  • Ability to interface with clients and work cross functionally among departments.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, high attention to detail. 
  • Ability to multitask on multiple projects, strong troubleshooting skills. 
  • Independent, self-motivated, driven, does not require strong supervision.
  • Programming experience in audio DSP systems (Q-Sys, BSS, Biamp, Media Matrix) a plus.
  • Industry certifications, such as Infocomm CTS, CTS-D, CTS-I, a plus.
