Service Transition


The objective of the Project Technical Lead is to ensure that the IPcenter solutions are implemented to meet process and solution design requirements. These deliverables are underpinned by higher level artefacts which are produced by Service Transition Architects. The Project Technical Lead is responsible for the end to end implementation of IPcenter service offerings and will be engaged during the Service Transition phase. 



  • Understand the end-to-end IPcenter solution that fully realizes the business case for the customer.
  • Own and spearhead the technical implementation of the design throughout the project lifecycle, working with a multidisciplinary team including developers, infrastructure design, and automation experts to effect the solution
  • Configure IPsoft proprietary software and monitoring to effect the solution
  • Work with the customer during Knowledge Transfer to understand their environment for the scope of support and ensure IPsoft Operations is prepared to service the customer.
  • Keep up to date with the emerging processes and technologies from the IPsoft product line as well as work with the research and development teams to identify further feature enhancements


  • 4+ years’ experience in project driven work
  • 5+ years’ as a systems or applications/middleware administrator with some exposure to Linux.  
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a customer focus
  • A passion for technology and an IT generalist at heart, who can quickly grasp new concepts.
  • Ability to operate in a fast paced, evolving and changing environment 
  • Perl, Python, JavaScript, Bash, scripting, batch processing, and automation technologies experience 
  • REST API, API, JSON, XML, HTTP knowledge
  • Experience with large scale software and hardware deployments.
  • Previous experience with ITSM platforms such as HP Service Manager, Service Now, or IPcenter.  Experience with monitoring systems such as Nagios, Netcool, or HP OpenView.
  • Ability to present technical issues to non-technical audiences. 
  • Knowledge of ITIL v3 
  • Very strong background in one of the following areas: 
      • Unix/Linux/Storage
      • WinTel/Citrix/vmware/Cloud computing
      • Network/IPT
      • Software development/engineering
